I was wondering if anybody had an idea as to why my range is so short. I just installed an autopage 850 rs on a 2004 toyota camry. Every thing works great, except that the range on the pager is so short. I walked down the blook and the attenna icon went out. Thats probably like 200 feet. Its suppose to have up to a half mile range, without any interference. I mounted the antena just the way they said, top right inside windshield. I ran the wire along side the windshield, could the side airbags possibly ruin the signal in the wires that are ran along aside of them? Thanks....

Make sure the system has a good ground point. I would also run any extra ant. wire randomly up in the headliner. Only run what you need to reach the alarm. Do not bunch up or coil up the extra wire. It might help. Good Luck!!

is the antenna cable bundled under the dash, make sure that you expand the antenna cable throughout the car and not bundle it up in one place.

Try to get someone to go into the car while you are walking away from thecar. Use a cell phone or 2 way radio and get the person to move the antenna around in the car until you get the longest distance. THis works for us if a customer complains of range problems.

keep ant wire away from power wire as much as possibl-if near metal shield the metal with duct tape and bring ant up in head liner and over the front windshiel
