what harness would i use and does tha radio stay in. it doesnt have onstar just the basic cd player and 4 speakers

If you use Metra part# GMRC-01, you do not have to leave the radio in the vehicle and you will retain your vehicle functions including the delayed accessory feature, chimes and the vehicle warranty. Plus you do not have to run any wires, it's just like a regular harness.
