i like a nice tight pounding bass. the only stuff i've heard ported were sony tens an they sounded like sh*t. an i have 2 12's in mine in a sealed box an the bang. but i want something new, an maybe something that pounds more than sony does.

some people say that ported boxes make the bass sound sloppier but I don't think that is true, if you build the box correctly and tune it properly I feel the bass gets deeper. But if you like tighter bass you should definitely go sealed.

What I mean by tuned properly is that you cut the port to the correct length and width for the frequency that you want to tune the box to. that is a port length calulator on the site here that helps you determine how long to cut ports.
