Could anyone PLEASE tell me what I did wrong??  Last nite I wired up the two relays posted here for the radio on till door open feature, and it worked PERFECT, I mean perfect!!, but this morning I get in the car and goto work, and my amp is running in the back (No audio, just power) but the radio is acting like the car is off (clock on, no functions will work though)  I installed the wiring just like the diagram, and it worked so well (I was really happy, not only did the radio work, but the power windows worked till the door opened too!!??  Don't know how, but it was nice)

Nothing changed btwn then and now, but I can't get the radio to turn on at all, car running, or off, doors open or closed, its just like the car is off....  do I need the diode thing that I have been reading about?? I didn't think so, because its not alarm related, just the radio... ANY help on this would be much appreicated..... Thanks in advance!!

Update... Still having problems with it, now, even after cutting the door trigger, the headunit still doesn't come on... I think this relay might have screwed something up, tonite, after work, I will remove the relay all together and start from scratch... ANY help on this would be great...

Figured it out after troubleshooting it, it wasnt the relay at all, some how I blew a fuse to the gem module??  After I fixed that, everything is working how it should be, including the radio on till door open... (actually works better then just that, somehow, the gem is still powered till door open, I can roll the windows up and down (including one touch down on driver side) and wipers and such...

Thanks to all!!

I have a 2002 Ranger and had the same problem.  I added a fuse to the power leg going to the relays so if it popped it wouldn't effect the cars operation, the radio just wouldn't stay on.  Also, be careful about using your wipers without the car running.  If you use the washer pump too it might be too much for the fuse as well.  I found out the hard way.
