You need to be more specific on the model of L7 that you are referring to. if they are 10L7's dual 4 ohm's than the 1200.1 is perfect putting 600 watts to each sub. It would also work for the 12L7's you would just be underpowering them a little, I think that the mtx 1501d is only stable down to 2 ohms so I don't know that it would be a good choice, assuming that you want the dual 4 ohm versions of the subs.

Rockford Fosgate 1001bd. Althought the 'smart engage' on MTX amps would be nice. Eliminates the need for a 12Volt remote turn on.

what do you think of those JL amps? I am hunting a new amp for 2 10" kicker solo-baric (the 2nd series).

I love my JL amp, it's been very good to me. They are on the expensive side but I feel that they are well worth it.

i think they are 450 Max, so probably 300 RMS. I want a good stout amp because I am going to sell them and buy 1 JL 10W7 soon.

Well you could get away with a JL 500/1 but you would be underpowering a little. They would still bump though or you could go with a 1000/1 but then you would be overpowering them by about 400 watts. I would say to go with the JL 500/1 if you wanna go JL. I have one for sale if you are interested, I bought two but only use one. PM me if you're interested. A lower cost alternative would be a JBL 600.1 which matches your subs perfectly.
