i just built 2 boxes for some aw1251t's but i dont like how big they are in my trunk so i want to shrink them as much as possible they are 15"x15"x16.5" what is the best box volume for these subs? smaller like 1.2 cubic ft. or the size they are now 1.6 cubic ft.basicly am i gonna loose bang if i shorten them to 15"x15"x12"
love the flames.apair of aw1251t subs 75 watt rms flame amp eq/linedriver clarion h.u.the rest is temporary untill i can afford the rest of the system.

15X15X12 will give you about 1.1 CUFT (assuming 3/4" MDF construction.)  The Audiobahn's will work fine in that volume.  The only thing you might notice is they won't play as deep as they did in 1.6 CUFT.  I'd add about 1 lb of polyfill to each 1.1 CUFT sealed enclosure and that will help, as it will make the enclosure act like it is a bit larger.

dude im no audiophile or anything or i wouldnt own audiobahn obviousely just a little joke for you haters out there. but i can deffinitly tell you that these subs were not ment to be in a ported or espescially bandpass box. they sound way better in my new sealed boxes.furthermore it hit ok in the bandpass but only certain notes and a lot of other notes sounded like sh*t. ahh man i dont want to lose the low notes maybe ill just go down to like 13.5"time to hit the box calculator.i wanna try to get them in the corners at an angle its an 87 accord i dont know why im wastin my time with big mdf boxes i should of just built fiberglasss volcanos in the corners one day i guess.but then again wouldnt i lose a lot of sq and lows by facing the subs towards the cab?
