How's it going,

Does anyone know where the easiest spot to tap into the Retained Accessory Power (RAP) on a 2004 Escalade ESV is?

(FYI: RAP is when you turn off the ignition and the radio stays on until the door is opened)

I am installing headrest monitors and would like them to stay on until the door is open.

I have heard that there is a spot to the right of the glove box, but am unsure of the wire color.        Are there other easy places?

I have also heard that the wiring is different on a 2002 Escalade than on a 2003 and 2004.

Thanks in advance for the help

If the vehicle has a sunroof it will be at the sunroof relay, which is to the right of the glove box mounted to the pillar. I believe it is a black wire coming off the relay or orange. I have to try and remember. You can grab it on the right pillar post, which is easier. If there is no sunroof you can grab it at the BCM but must use a relay, plus I forgot the pin you can tap. Have to look at the diagrams to remember. Sorry,

Vehicle does have a sunroof, and I see an orange and black wire coming from a relay  next to the right pillar post. I will use my voltmeter and see which one to tap into.

Thanks for the info
