Theory Question here.

I have (6) devices installed in my amp rack that have Remote IR eye capabilities, now, since the eye just picks up the IR signal and sends it down to the devices, rather than install six eyes and run the cables, why couldn't I just run 1 IR eye back to the rear and then use a coupler and split the feed into six and feed each device, wouldnt the device simply ignore incorrect remote signals and only the correct device react to the remote control. I can see it as being any diffrent than pointing the wrong Remote at the IR on a dash mounted device or like pointing the wrong remote at your vcr?.

Any comments...

Thanks

well, it might work, might not. it might be like an RC car, u ever play with one, and someone comes along with something using the same frequency, and it goes to sh*t. Im not saying thats whats going to happen, im just sayin, it could happen. Atleast i think it could. lol. im not too sure.
