Hey everyone, about a couple days ago I got my final system done.  2 200 watt RMS Lightning Subs and 1 300 watt RMS Lightning Subs powered by a 600 and a 500 watt Lightning amps.  Back when I just had a 360 watt RMS sony amp and the 2 300 watt RMS Lightning subs I was hitting 142 db... I was wondering if maybe I could get a ballpark figure on what Id hit now... these are in a 92 VW Jetta and all boxes are Sealed.  Thanks

Ok i changed the amps out and at the time I only had the 2 300 watt Lightnings but now I added 2 more 200 watt Lightnings (not one it was a typo).  The 300 watt subs are facing the rear of the trunk, the 200 watt subs are facing eachother from the sides.  The only real change was better amps and 2 more subs facing in on the sides

really that is too many things, that have been changed to give any sort of guess to what your spl levels might be nowl. i think it is reasonable to guess it is higher but how much higher nobody can really tell.

... or 3 to 6 db (or wosre) lower if the setup is not perfect and you get acoustic phase cancellation.  Running multiple sub locations and trying to go for SPL is one of the most difficult thing to get set up right that I can think of.

I love the bass obviously and local competitions are very easy to win here so yea I like goin for the SPL and dont say get this and that because I love lightning audio in everyway as far as SPL, sound quality, looks, all around good brand to be except for the Bolt series.

Lightning audio = Rockford Fosgate. Not the best, not the worst. If you like it, thats all that matters. However, did you say you were hittting 142 db with just 2 12s??? I have 3 tens, I have never gotten it metered, but I'd be lucky to get a 130. Are you using ported boxes?
