just bought a 2002 honda civic 4dr and also bought my metro kit #99-7899 and harness #80-1721. I wanted to know how to go about removing my factory radio and installing my new one.

Didn't you read the instructions that come with the kit?

Basically, you remove the panel under the center of the dash, remove a few gold 8mm screws, and the radio should slide out.
