I recently purchased the commando 5005 security system and installed it myself. everything works great except when I do a remote start, the park lights stay on.  I later found out there's no onboard light flash relay for this particular system. Any ideas, anyone, on how to get my park lights to pulsate when I do a remote start?

There should be something about that in the programming.

Every alarm I have done has at least an onboard relay for the parking lights. Anyway, if your lights are turning on then you probably do have a relay. You just need to look for the programing features list and change the steady to flash lights.

ok, i just did a search on your alarm and it has a built in relay
the relay is not needed to flash the lights just power them, and your brain can turn them on and off

I've been through the programming guide a dozen times or so and nowhere does it speak of how to switch from steady to flash. And yes it does have on board relays. Sorry about the misinfo.

most of them have the feature where the lights stay on so you know that the car is in remote start mode...they will flash when the alarm is sounding...
Good Luck

You could always install a flasher.
