I need a 1 second (or more) delay in my negative door trigger. I finally got time to complete my installation today but have 2 issues left. One is the door-trigger. I connected my -ve door-trigger wire to my dome-light -ve input (I cannot use the individual door triggers because the wires on my Highlander are real tight on the body ECU) but there is a problem. When I hit arm/lock on my remote, I hear 3 beeps instead of 1 beep. The three beeps means one of my doors is ajar; while at the same time, my 2-way pager shows that a door sensor is in violation. This happens just for about half a second and the door-violation dissapears. Reason for this is that the dome light goes off as soon as the car gets armed. It should be off BEFORE the arming process, so I want a 1 second delay to my Omega alarm's negative trigger. Can someone give me a circuit or something where I can make a 1 second delay before the door-trigger "senses" the -ve voltage?

hey cbag1, thanks for the info. Are you saying that the -ve input to the key-ring cylinder gets cut out half(or quarter) a second sooner than the dome light?? I thought the key-ring illuminatoin and the domelight get cut off as I hit lock on my remote. If the answer is yes, thanks a lot in advance!
