Has anyone had to install a remote start and the customer wanted to retain the 2 step door lock using the 785's remote. I'm trying to install and Audiovox APS785, the trucks has Keyless entry already installed, my problem is the wire color codes I have found for this are conflicting for drivers side lock. Or if anyone has done this already could you help me out with the wiring or maybe a diagram.

Here is what I have done so far I have found the blue wire for the Drivers side lock, cut it it does prevent the drivers door from locking or unlocking, but when I relay to it I still have no lock or unlock, Can'rt figure out what else i s happening when you hit the unlock on the factory remote

any help will be greatly appreciated

Thanks,

draasch

You need to five wire the driver's door unlock only on the first pulse to the progressive unlock, pin 85 +12V, pin 86 - first unlock pulse from alarm, pin 30 motor side of unlock wire, 87A switch side of unlock wire, 87 ground. Then wire the alarm's lock wire to the WHITE/ Green wire with a 820 ohm resistor, and wire the second unlock pulse through a 330 ohm resistor to the same wire, you may need relays for these wires. Check this link for relay pinouts.

Thanks for the input I still am unable to find the correct wire for the drivers doorlock only, can anyone point me in the right direction. Am i going to have to open it up in the door panel or will it pass back into thru drivers compartment? The wire I think it is, is blue and it comes off the white conn to the left of the steering column, this is also the location of the WHITE/ green and the lt GREEN/ orange disarm wire, but I see 2 wires that appear to have reversal when the unlock button is pressed9 The blue and tan/orange

not sure?

thaks
