OK, this is the situation..... I have a component system 6.5 in the front doors and in the dash there are two 3.5 speakers.... they are going to be connect it to an amplifier which is rated 80x4 at 4 ohms and 160x4 at 2ohms. I want to wire the component system to one of the 3.5 speakers, how is the best way to do it.. thank you

at rear speakers i have 6x9 speakers.....

What are you doing? If you have a good set of components, chances are that you do not need the 3.5" speakers. Well I guess that does not answer your question properly. What kind of vehicle is this and what are the speakers in question? Where are you mounting the speakers?

OK, Its a dodge stratus 2000 , 6.5 front doors and it have two 3.5 in the corners of the dash like at the end ... SO i have the infinity 6.5 component system and 6x9 rear speakers that are going to connect to an amplifier soundstream .. and I want to add the 3.5 speakers and i was told that i was able to use and connect it to the amplifier but i dont know how..... any suggestions.,..

Good to hear that an amp is in the works. I would probably not use the 3.5" speakers myself, the component probably would do a great job. I would mount the tweeter in the 3.5" location.

While you can parallel wire the 3.5" with the 6.5" components, this is no problem for the amp. See the parallel & series calculator to see how a parallel circuit is wired. Ignore the fact that it is a sub that they are talking about. The real problem I see here is crossover setting, the 3.5" cannot handle the same lows with the same amount of force as the larger 6.5" can. Thus you will either limit the amp to one of two things, a high croosover point to keep the 3.5" from distorting or a low crossover point to give the 6.5" good bass response and possible blow the 3.5" speakers from distortion that you probably will not be able to hear. So again I would not use this mix of speakers together. Hope this helps.
