I have just recently bought a combo Remote Start/Alarm/Keyless Entry for my 93 K1500 PU. The name on the box is KICX model KC-192. I feel confident that I can install it(95% anyway), with a few question for the other 5%, sorry, don't want to screw it up.

My question at this point: It doesn't say it is dual zone capable. It does come with a 3  wire shock sensor. Can I (and will it work) install a dual zone/perimeter sensor in this unit?  And if yes, Where would be the best place to put this new sensor on the truck?

Thanks for any help.

Daryl

You can

Put the dual zone sensor in the middle of the car.

You can hook up the sensor as follow:

It should have 4 wires on it (i dont know their colors) but shoud be like his:

The first  wire has to go to positive (12 Volts)

The second wire has to go to ground (or either ground when armed)

The third wire has to go to a "trigger input" of the alarm.    Maybe you have a seperate trigger input for additional sensors.   you have to check that out.   Other wise you have to hook it up to the same input trigger as your shock sensor (DIODE isolate these 2 sensor from each other)

The last wire (warn away), this is the one that detects the outer perimeter,  can be hooked up through SPDT relay and then connect this on your sirene.   This wire will then only provide a warn away response and will not trigger the alarm itself.

Greetings
