I have a 98 ranger with fac door locks and have installed a "Bulldog" Auto start. I would like to use only one remote instead of two but don't know how to connect it so that the factory door locks work with the auto start. The auto start has only one button to start and one button to turn off. the fac. key fob only has lock and unlock and panic, am I sunk or is there a way to by pass a wire and make it work? Thanks for your help,
Geoff

Cbag1, the unit is a rs79, do you think it will work with that one as well. I will try to do this this weekend. Let me know what you think.

The RS79/RS82/RS85I are thesame installation instruction.

Doorlock info:

POWER LOCK    |  pink / YELLOW         | -  |          either door harness or *1

isolate this wire with diode which stripe face away your rs module.

Notes:

*1 These wires can also be found in the drivers kick panel in the large harness to the rear only if equipped with factory security.

goodluck.
