My buddy has a '99 s-10 and wants to make it so the automatic headlights don't come on.  He alse didn't want the DRL's to come on.  That one was easy, yanked the relay.  Not sure how to get the headlights to not turn on automaticly though.  The only way we know so far is to have the parking brake on when you start the truck, but then you have to look at the "brake" light in the instrument panel.  How do we make this work?

Have you checked the owners manual? I dont know if you can disable it permanently but, I believe you can do it each time by pressing the dome override switch like 4 times.

Ummm.... i think the owner's manual says something about the parking brake... not sure... don't remember. I tried the dome override thing the right off the bat.. but didn't work.  I think that works on the 2000 and later models.
