I am installing an additional amp to the existing JBL Premium system in my 97 Explorer. I have ordered the PAC interface OEM-1 to do the preout splitting and all that smoothly, but what i need to know is the best place to get a remote turn-on lead from within the truck. I have heard that the remote turn on in the existing system is a lower voltage than needed... Any ideas?

PAC makes the TR-7 module that will convert Ford's 5 volt output to a 12 volt output needed to turn on an amp.  I don't have one in stock, but I can get it for you and it costs around $22.95 + shipping ( www.dbsounds.com).   If you are interested, just email me from my site and let me know.  Hope this helps!
