I am getting a lcd video/ monitor.... i wont to use my home dvd player. and i was wondering what else i need ... the shop said I need a $50 Converter for the two different power supply and I also need a $50 FM modulator. i'm guessing this will send the sound to the speakers. .... is this the best way to do it. and will it sound good coming from a pair of good speakers with an amp on to them.... what other suggestions may any one add if not...????

This is probably the most cost effective way of doing this integration yes. You could probably shop around a bit more for a better price, but if they are going to install it as well, then see what you can do as far as installation price from these guys.

hey there you could do it that way but that would be a big paint and take alot of juice fot the powerinverter, heres what i would do, 1st question do you already have a head unit? if yes you can buy a dvd unit from ebay that will not use the inverter, it hooks right up to 12v and you get a 1ft rca cable and hook that output from the dvd unit to the aux input of you head unit. If you have no head unit you can use the dvd unit as one. here are some links.

Probably?  It will skip.  Unless you drive on perfectly smooth pavement.   Where does that exist?
