Okay i was installing some things on my car which is a 1995 Pontiac Trans Am, lights and things and additional switches and after i finsihed my aftermarket radio didnt tturn on, and i tested out the Yellow wire which was the +12 V igniton wire, and i wasnt getting anything so rather then rip apart my dash i just ran a new wire from the fuse box. That works fine, but now an adapter i installed for the steering wheel controls to work with the aftermarket deck doesnt work anymore, it has power from the new power cable though, so  I perosnally think that the adapter which is a Pac Swi-x which used to work but now it doesnt isnt getting the signal from the blue wire which is the steering wheel controls, i am yet to check the voltage on this wire im going to do so tomorrow. Does anyone know on the 1995 Pontiac Trans am, the dark blue wire in the back of the radio which is for the steering wheel controls, everytime you press button, should a 12 volt signal come accross that wire, and if so do you know where that power is fed from, are those 12 Volts fed from the old ignition cable that i re-ran because the old one lost the voltage somehow, so what should i do? Re-trace the original ignition wire and see where the problem is, or what. I need to know if the steering wheel control cable which is the dark blue cable in the radio harness if that is fed from the stock Yellow ignition cable??and if it is, where do they meet??If anyone knows or if anyone has a wiring diagram for this car or know where i can get one, please let me know

First check all your fuses in the car. it sounds like you have a blown fuse in the car.

Also the streening wheel control might need to be reprogramed if it lost power.

I was trying to re-program the Pac Swi-X when i realized that it isnt getting the signal from the steering wheel buttons, and im just about 99 percent sure i didn't blow a fuse, do you know where the steering wheel control wire (Dark Blue) is fed from, is is fed from the yellow wire which has no power anymore which could ne my problem??
