I'm having trouble deciding between the two as well. It seems the 7500 is going to give you more options in terms of sound and sound quality etc. DTS and all that jazz. However the AVIC-N1 has the gauges, customizable backgrounds, NAV, but your also getting a smaller screen, and losing some sound quality, and losing the TV tuner. I just dont know I can't make up my mind.

N1 more bang for your buck -> NAV!!!!

All depends on how much you want to sacrifice...

I had 7490DVD which was 7" optical Pioneer unit and went to 6.5" N1.

Screen is a bit small but GPS is all worth it... for less than $1500 what more can you ask for.

You can also watch dvd or play mp3 at the same time with N1. Since N1 has internal memory to store upto 70miles of map data.

So if you are traveling more than 70miles just to put the map dvd... its not that annoying.

just my 2 cents

Which pioneer unit would you get and why?
i know the avic-n1 is a pimped out nacigation setup. the 7500 has the navigation option but comes with a tv tuner?
what do you guys think?

Does the Blaupunkt have a built in tv tuner?  I thought that you had to buy an add on,(pretty sure,)

The guages are kinda neat-o, but I want the best sound.

Just a quick note...
On most Ford Trucks, the VSS is PIN 68 (Grey and Black, on the 104 pin connection to the computer (Behind the Battery Box, Passenger Side under the hood.)
PS. You don't need to know for the AVIC N1, but it is an 8000 PPM VSS module (In case you need to calibrate something to it.)

pioneer is coming out with a 5.1 processor to add onto the AVICN1. and has an AV input for TV tuner.  May cost more in the long run, but I will be able to build my system over time.

I just got the AVICN1 and love it.

I too went from a 7500 to the N1. Personally, if I had put more thought into it, I would've stayed with the 7500DVD and added the Navi unit. I do have to say the Dynamics Display is just cool. But, like has been posted, the 7500 will decode to Dolby 5.1 and output it. The AVIC doesn't. So now I've bcome determined to MAKE it work. So look for a new post on that!
I had bad credit. Anyone have any they can loan me? lol

I have a 04 F150 and I saw the post above, would you know if it is that wire for the VSS?
