Hey,
I know that the brands that I am about to mention are not very good, but I am doing what I can with what I got. I have a Legacy LA2080 and (3) Jensen XS1212 12inch subs. I was needing info on the best way to wire these subs to this amp to get the right watts. Thanks ahead of time for your help.

What impedance are the voice coils 2ohm or 4 ohm, , and are they dual voice coils, or single.

Plus, is your Amp a mono amp, 2 channel, or 4 channel.  What impendance loads does it say it can handle?

We need all that info first please.

The subs are rated at 125 wrms each.  The amp is 2 channel with a bridged rating of 1200 watts X 1.  All ratings aside, the only way I can see wiring those subs is to series them to each other.  They are SVC, 4 ohms (by what I could find out.)

Connect the 3 subs in series for a 12 ohm total load.  Then bridge (yes, the amp is bridgeable) the box to the amp for a 6 ohm load.  You should get all the power needed for the subs.

The amp is rated at 2x200W RMS at 4ohms or 2x320W RMS at 2 ohms. That is about all I know about the amp. The subs are 4 ohm. They say that they can handle 175 RMS.

So how do I hook the subs up in series? I'm already gathering stuff to make the box. How many speaker terminals do I need for the outside of the box? one or three?

To use the three subs, they have to be wired together first before connecting to the amp.  There are some good diagrams on the web of series wiring, but in essence it's like this:  the three speakers are arranged in a proper enclosure (the manufacturer will supply you with this info.  They are wired together in series.  The first speaker + goes to the box terminal +.  The - of that speaker connects to speaker 2, on the +.  The - of that speaker connects to speaker 3 on the +.  The - of speaker 3 connects to the box terminal marked -.

Here is some good info to read:  http://www.bcae1.com/srsparll.htm

The box of three speakers is now rated at 12 ohms ( 4+4+4).  Bridge it to the amp.  The manual should show a diagram for that, but it is the + wire to left channel +, and the - wire to the right channel -.  This becomes a 6 ohm mono load.

You can also use separate boxes.  The wiring remains the same as described here.  There is some excellent info in the site I referred.  Check it out for some good basic knowledge.

I got that mono load rating wrong.  It is a 12 ohm mono  load which is equivalent to a 6 ohm stereo load.  The reason you wire it like this is because the amp won't be able to handle the current demands of three woofers wired in any other way.
