they say that the radio needs to be install in the trunk. they say that you have to run the wire's from the back, but that's that's a new one for me.

Maybe its like the ford oval, and you have too buy a harness that runs to the trunk....?.

I have not put anything in a caddy...just a thought, cause that would be a strange one to put the HU in the trunk....  :-)

the factory amp and tumer are in the trunk of this car (either in the panels or behind the seat ).   You haver to run wires from the after market radio to the trunk and hook it up to the factory amp.  usually you can get a metra 1858 harness or AI 344 harness and it will plug right into the factory amp in the trunk.  You can get acc, constant and ground in the dash.

 Not a hard install, but time consuming.

metra 1858 harness or AI 344 harness ?  what is it and where can i get it. and oes it plug into the audio box behind the seat

I did one of these car a long time ago.  I believe the harness is a metra 70-1858 which hooks up in the trunk. i'm not 100% sure on the number of the harness, sorry!
