Hi,

I have a 1990 Pontiac Sunbird SE and two of the three dashboard lights are burnt out (instruments/speedometer). I have tried to take the panel off, but it just seems impossible. I unscrewed every screw I saw. But that thing just won't budge! Is it indeed impossible to change the lights or is there an easier way? Thanks!

I had the same problem with my Sunbird. There were 4 screws holding the cluster on and I had to take off the headlight and windshield wiper control switches to get to the top two screws. After that I had to tilt the top of the cluster out, with the steering wheel tilted all the way down, and it slid out without much resistance.
Hope this helps.

Yes it did help, thank you!

After 4 hours and a lot of swearing, all is well with all lights working. You pretty much have to destruct your whole car to get at these lights! The cluster wouldn't fit back in, so I had to drop my steering column a bit (2 bolts on the bottom). Anyways, thanks again!
