Hey guys, im upgrading my system in a few weeks. I got a new car, and i want something better. I am getting 3 15" MA Audio D6 series subwoofers. They are rated at 400 rms, 800 peak. I was wondering if the BX1500D would be a good match for them? If not, what other amp would you recommend thats in the same price range? Thanks.

if you run everything in parallel at 1 ohm, the amp puts out about 1500wrms at 1 ohm. so your subs will be a little over powered but i dont see a problem with doing so with that amp.

Actually, I guess what i would like to know more importantly, is HiFonics a good amp? I am currently running a RF 700S amp, and I like it. Its been a good amp to me. Im just curious, which amp would be better. I know that more power would be better, but in terms of quality, which amp is better? It just seems odd that I can get a 1500 watt amp for under 400 bucks. I paid close to 600 for my 700 watt RF. Any input would be great. Thanks alot.

which is better? Ford or Chev?  BMW or Benz?     it's personal preference     i tend to do my own research and listening as opposed to just asking someone else what they think.....  you're gonna have to live with the amp, chose something YOU like... not something someone else likes....

I know that, but as a dealer, i figure his opinion would be pretty good. I dont wanna have to drop a couple hundred on it to "live" with it, and find out it sucks ass, when i could have just listened to what DY had to say and got something better in the first place.

I have never had a problem with the HiFonics products that I've used in the past, personally I enjoyed some of the older RF equipment vs their new equipment.  To the point... I prefered the HiFonics products that I used vs. the RF that I have used for similar applications, just my humble 2 cents

Both are good lines that if used properly should do the job quite nice for you.
