i got a few friends who got memphis amps and they've had them forever and there still going strong.  i had a friend who owned a stereo shop who sold memphis and he built a  SPL car with all memphis, i think he was doing mid 160's but that was with 8 12's.  memphis put out a sub a few years back called ARIA, i had a pair of  these 12's, holy crap were they loud, but they look nothing like the memphis subs you see today and i don't know about the sound of any newer memphis subs as i've never heard them. but the amps are pretty powerful not to mention compact, they're all pretty small in size.

my suggestion would be either go to a stereo shop somewhere that sells memhis and talk with them or call memphis tech support and talk to them about what you want to do and see if they could help you

what!?!?! you want some??

My friend just bought two memphis 12s for his Towncar. Thet pump pretty good, they have a two channel 1000 watt amp running to them.  He pretty much just threw them thogether becasue he just wanted the sytem in. he had them in teh truck, but it was barely audible from inside the car, so he has them in teh back seat for the time being.
