i just installed an alpine 8040 system in a civic hatchback, anyway, as soon as the alarm "sets" it goes off. It must be then turned off with the remote. when i reset the alarm again it chirps twice, then press the remote again, and i get the one fhirp signal that it is activated again.....10-12 seconds later...she is blaring away again.....did i not wire something right.....and do all the wires have to be hooked up like, i have no power locks and the trunk wirre is not hooked up, maybe one of these need to be grounded? oh and it uses a motion sensor, dont know if they all do this is a used set up

the dark side of the force is with me

What you should do is narrow down what is setting off the sytem. Unplug the wires for the radar sensor and see if this continues. If it does, then disconnect the door trigger wires, if it still goes, disconnect the hood pin switch. Keep going until you've narrowed it down to only one wire. If all your trigger points are disconnected and the system still goes off, then it's a faulty alarm CPU or poor ground or power supply.
