i am installing a python 1500 on a 1997 cavalier.
the only wire i can not find is the tach wire. is there any other place the tach could be found other than the PCM? where is the PCM? i checked the passenger fender to no avail. i checked every white wire in the large harnesses of wire under the hood. no luck. the car is an automatic 3 speed. no tach on the dash but could there be a tach wire in the dash?
have installed many alarms before with no problems locating the tach wire, except on my car. please help

If you have the 2.2 liter engine the wire can be white or orange at the pcm. I hope this helps as i have no more info than this. These same wires can be at the ignition control module at the back of the motor in the center of the car .1997 Cavalier Tach Wire -- posted image.

Just grab an injector; it always works for me.  At each fuel injector are two wires.  One wire will be the same on each injector; don't hook up to those.  Hook up to the wire that is a different color on each injector.
