I just recently installed a kenwood cd changer in the trunk of my car and my suspension isnt the greatest. Whenever I hit a pothole it skips with the changer... is there any way to dampen the shock or stop the skipping? it is screwed directly in through the carpet and into the sheet metal. Thanks

I guess you could try sticking something like dynamat between the mounting plate and the chassis of the car.

One time back in the years of turntables, there was this mounting platform that promised to take out all vibrations that could cause a record to skip.  I thought it must be some miracle product and ordered one.  It just was a flat piece of chipboard that sat on 4 springs.  It was just the little springs, but you could bump into the table and no skipping.  I kept putting those little springs on all kinds of stuff after that.  Make yourself something like that.  Mount it to the floor, and mount the disk player to it.

Check to make sure you have the changer set to either the vertical or Horizontal setting, depending on how you mounted it.  If you have this set incorrectly, they will skip.
Do it right the first time
