I personally do not see a need for 1/0 guage wire in this application. It will be a waste of time and money. 4 guage will be sufficient for that amp. I am running the new Pioneer GMD510M 1000w. Mono-Block and (2) Pioneer GM5000T's (760w) amps in my trunk and only using 4 guage with no performance loss. I would recommend running a second battery, but not 1/0 guage. Just my .02 though. As for the ground, the most recommended length is 18" from the battery.
