the subs are in an custum made 3/4 mdf box with each sub having its own chamber. also the box is sealed . the subs are in an 70 buick skylark droptop with the subs facing out. right now my power cable is 4 guage with an 150 amp fuse at the battery and my alt is 140 amps 100 at idle and 174 at 55 mph. i had autozone test my alt and it is underated they said so it puts out more amps then advertised. oh by the way its an proform alt

You said you're looking for the RMS.  You can measure it yourself, first get a digital multimeter.  Read the post 'Amp Calculations' for info on how to do it.

Just a guess on the big three question:  I would think 1) battery ground cable 2) alternator 3) battery

Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.
