CompVR vs. Alpine Type R at 400 wrms x 1 @ 4 ohms.

agreed. You give that type r 400 watts, in a good sealed box, it'll slam like it was going outta style man.

yea ive had 2 CVR12s with 600going to em... and my friend had 2 type-rs way louder... could be that he had a 900w amp on em 2

Yeah-that's 300 more watts than your CVRs are getting. What are both amps? As I have found out the power advertised is seldom the actual power put out. Regardless, the Rs are a higher quality speaker-I listened to them side by side with CVRs and a Pheonix Gold Tantrum to help me decide, I went w Alpine!
