Need some opinions.  I do have an 1985 car where 95% of the owners of that same car won't put an alarm on theirs.

And my Alarm LED isn't all that visible anyway.   In the day time you probably won't even notice it.

Is it a good idea to put the alarm sticker on the windows at all?  "protected by .... alarm systems" etc.

many  years ago when I was a kid.   I heard it was a bad idea.. because you're potentially telling the thief can get the "schematic" for your viper or clifford or whatever and "bypass" your alarm system easily.

All seem like urban legend now..  because all the alarms seem to be the same thing basically.  It's all in the installation to hide and disguise it.  And if someone is to spend to time to get the wiring color.  By the time they found it I would have knocked them out cold with my bat.

So.  Should I put that sticker on there ?  Maybe it will save me from a broken window for the odd thief that didn't realize there is an alarm.

Most alarm companies say that if your vehicle is stolen while using their alarm, they will pay a certain $$ amount towards your insurance deductable.  They also require you to display these stickers in certain places.  Stickers and alarms won't prevent your vehicle from being broken into or stolen, they only slow down the inexperienced.  But to answer your question, read the warranty and liability papers that came with your alarm.  The choice is yours.

If you intend to place a *security sticker* on the vehicle, then apply one from another maker.
You can walk into any audio store or BBM and ask the sales guys.
BTW: It is not an Urban Legend, it is indeed true.
