Hey there My audio friends. I have a question I am rinning a Rockford fosgate 1000bd and there 851X for my 2003 Suburban. I want to run a second battery for just the system. I have already got an optima for teh burban and then I bought a STINGER SP800 and there High current relay the SR200 I want to learn how to hook it all up so that the stinger battery also gets charged from the altinator. So please someone help me how to do this. All advice is welcome. I have herd that well I could get a better altinator but I dont want to spend that much just yet. I will also have a 1 fared cap from stinger also for my system..

Still need more help then this guys will my altinator keep up teh load for both batt's. Need more info..

Stock alt. in a Chevy Suburban is (I believe) 130 amps.  Since your amps will draw a max of about 150 amps, you don't need a second battery or a cap, you need a 200 amp alternator.  Anything less is a waste of your money.

i think the 130amp alt is with the tow-package i dont remember the other alternator size tho.  i may be mixed up tho...

Yea, you're right.  I believe the stock-stock is only about 90 amps.

man do i seriously wish i knew some place online that posted all of the alternator sizes of every model and year of vehicle.

Anyone know how much a 200 amp altinator is and who will sell one for my ride... Let me knwo guys its a pain in the ass to get real parts like this...
