Can anyone help. I have a 2002 Escalade and a customer who wants Sat Nav, DVD headrest screens etc...however the factory bose headunit will not support it...bascially I want to replace the unit with an aftermarket headunit and want to find out where the speaker outs are so I can run an array of amps+subs etc....

need wiring colour codes and where do aquire speaker outs other than direct from the speakers themselves....I could use an FM modulator to accept aux in, but its not what I had in mind....I'd rather replace the headunit....

thanks in advance

To do all these things (NAV, DVD, etc.) is possible on a bose system but it's costly and they will have mediocre sound quality at best. Your best bet is to replace the factory head unit and speakers because once your done buying FM modulators and Line Output Converters and amplifier bypass adapters it will be a hectic installation job to do. I would recommend the Kenwood eXcelon KVT-911DVD touchscreen head unit. It has outstanding sound quality, video ins/outs, and a NAV input. When it comes to speakers I would recommend either the eXcelons or the MB Quarts. Another thing that might help you when installing the NAV is that I believe the color of the VSS lead is a Dark Blue and can be found on the passenger side dash somewhere, however I could be wrong. Hopefully this will help you, and if you have any other questions you can email me.

Why don't you use our AAI-GM9 to input the DVD audio directly into the factory headunit.  It has inputs for two sources and is OnStar® ready.
