I've got a HX2 in a sealed box (sorry don't remember the size anymore) and I think it sounds great that way. Nice and clean bass, plenty loud enough for me. Guess it just depends on what you're trying to do with it - and how much space you have for a box.

Ok, well thats kind of a tricky question. It really depends on what you listen to, what you try to get out of your system, and what kind of car you are putting it in. Some boxes just sound better in a different car. Each application can be different. The ported box will be bigger and produce more "noise", however the sealed will be a cleaner, tighter bass with more response. The sealed box will also be smaller. If truck space is an issue, than stick with the sealed. But as i said, it depends on what you listen to.
