I have a 2004 Ford Escape Limited with the 7 speaker stereo (front separates, rear speakers, and a subwoofer).

I'm looking for the correct wiring harness.  Here are a couple of pics.

This is what my plug from my car looks like

That is actually a picture of the Metra part 70-5520.   The corresponding mating part is 71-5520, which looks like this.

What I'm wondering is, even if this looks like the right plug for my stereo, how do I know for sure that the pinouts are correct?

Also the stereo accepts this other plug that is for the subwoofer:

I'm assuming the subwoofer connector is more standard and easier to find, but I dont know the metra part number for the corresponding receiving plug.

If anyone has successfully replaced their radio for the 2004 Ford Escape limited or has had similar experience, please let me know.

Thanks.

Jason

If for some reason you don't trust that the pinouts are correct, get out your multimeter and test the wires. The plug in the car looks I believe the same as the plug in the new F-150. The positions anyway I'm not sure on the wire colors they may be different. Here's a pinout of that plug:

Hope it helps,
