Fiberglassing Doors, 2000 Grand Am

Well, I made my first install in the trunk last year and was pleased with it.  I plan on doing a whole new concept back there but with fiberglass beauty panels this time.  If that goes good, I plan on doing some interior pieces as well.  I would like to do the doors, my console and the front & rear pods.  My question is, do I leave the door panels or do I get rid of them.  I would rather leave them and glass over top because making a mould is not something I trust myself in doing.  Thanks for any suggestions.  By the way, I have a 2000 grand Am.

Using the origanal panel is DEF the best bet.dream it, build it, fiberglass it

Thanks alot for the info.  I'm glad to hear that you just went over top of your door panel.  So do you just wrap the entire door with cloth and then start slapping the resin on or how did you do yours?  Also, do you have any pics that might help me get a visual of what the finished product looked like?
