setting gain , crosoover cut of and radio

HI, this is my setup a Pioneer Premier AVH-P6500DVD as a head unit, DEQ-9200 graphic equalizer and my amps which are a soundstream for the mid an highs, and a Memphis Memphis 16-MC1000D for my subs, Im havinf some problem with the setting .. FIrs of all, I dont know if I have the frequenzy for the subs to 50hz, i also need to have to 50 in the amp and in the equalizer, and about the cut off frequenzies, which are the one i should use to have a clean sound with a great bass....... IM saing like high, mids, and bass/ and also about the gain of the amplifiers..... thank you

yes, Because If I set the crossover all they way down, it does not sound harder ( bass) and I dont know if to use the Bass remote control also?

OK, the 16-ST1000D has an18 dB-per-octave lowpass crossover that's continuously variable from 250 Hz to 50 Hz, and a defeatable subsonic filter that's continuously variable from 20 Hz to 50 Hz  So you have to be careful not to have the crossover all the way down (at 50Hz) and the filter all the way up (at 50Hz) or the amp will put out almost nothing.  You didn't list what your subs are, but I suggest turning the subsonic filter all the way DOWN to 20Hz and set the lowpass crossover to about 80 to 100 Hz.  Set the high-pass crossover on your Soundstream amp for your mains to THE SAME as the low pass on your sub amp, between 80 and 100 Hz.  And of course be sure your gain is adjusted properly (with the EQ bypassed when you do it.)Support the12volt.com
