I am running 4 12 inch jl audio w-3 d4's and two kicker zr360's. Front im running a set of mb quarts components which are powered by a sont amp rated at 1000 watts.... pshhh. Theyre getting roughly 150 watts each. The sony amp is hidden though. I also have a farad cap hidden. Its loud but it sounds like sh*t. Reason is lack of money. Didnt have the money to get sound damening which I should have gotten anyway because now when I do have money its going to be  a pain getting the box out. I think after I dynamat it and listen to it if I am still unsatisfied I will widen the opening in the front of the box. Right now its at close to 60% of the SA of the woofers cones. I need it to be more like 80 if not a 100. In any case I think I will be most satisfied in a monbth when I can dynamat it.

Another thing i forgot to mention is each enclosure is sitting just under 1.325 cubic feet of air space which is what I was aiming for.  Optimal for these subs are 1.125 cubic feet with all values added in. The JL rep said I needed a enclosure at 1.325 cubic feet to get 1.125 out of the box with the sub mounted. (taking in account the magnet and structure.)

I like the look but dont think you should worry bout dynamat to much. It is a sound dampening material however silcon will stop all the rattles you are probly hearing. Dynamat just keeps the sound inside the vechicle and helps control vehicle resonating.

But vehicle resonating could be the rattling he is hearing. If you dynamat the entire metal structure and then glue carpet to the back of the panels like forbbiden recomemded I cant see you still having an rattles unless they are comming from the box itself or if a panel is not snapped back in properly
double-secret reverse-osmosis speaker-cone-induced high-level interference distortion, Its a killer
