we have a 95 camery in the shop with premium sound we have the harness but when it is hooked up we have bade background hiss that is non engine related, we tried many things like different grounding tatics, any help will be welcome.

Are you sure its not engine related. When you tap the breaks do you hear a noise? I've had my cell phone in my car and just having it in the car caused a hiss.

no it is not engine related it is there all the time , volume down all the way the sla turned down all the way the only thing that has stoped it is the mute button but then we have no music.

it could be a natural sound that you're hearing. I had a 99 ford ranger that kept a hiss in it all the time untill I put a filter in the line and that helped some. Is it very loud? Or a subtle hiss?

go buy a ground loop isolator $20 or so should help get rid of noise.

Did that work???????

...background hiss...this isn't a sound that you normally hear with a ground problem, is it? No hum? What are you replacing in the car and what did you hook up to the harness?

Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.

sounds like it could be an incompatibility in signal matching... did you use the Metra amp integration harness? you may need to find some way of backing down the signal level, like using a line driver and de-attenuating the signal level to match it to the factory amp....
