1990 Honda stereo trouble

Check your fuse holder at the battery and all your connection point. I had a car that came in with a loose fuse holder. The same result, the amp would go on and off. It took a bit of time to locate the problem, but eventually it was fix. From experience, if the equipment goes on and off when you are driving majority off the time you can conclude it's a loose connection. The other thing which I can think off that would give you a similar result is if you had a sudden drop in the votage when you are applying the brake.     Be careful whose advice you buy, but be patient with those who supply it.
