im considering on purchasing either a couple of eclipse subs or jl subs but cannot decide on which is better. im not too concerned price wise...just wanted to know how they match up. any replies would be greatly appreciated.

personally id get the eclipse over the JL. the jl subs are more sound quality and the eclipse have a much nicer mix of spl and sq.

I would go with they eclipse, but you cant lose with either one.

Eclipse subs = excellent SQ and good SPL.  JL Audio subs = Fantastic SPL and decent SQ as long as you don't operate them at their limits.  Between the two, Eclipse is by far the better all around choice.

I will need to go with everybody else so far and say go with the eclipse. Although both are very comparable

No no no, you just have to get the new LearJet XL subs that I read about on another forum, they are awesome and will take all comers. Ahhh no fooling you guys though, another vote for the big nasty Eclipse subs. Eclipse VS JL -- posted image.
