Yes.  ANY ohm load above the minimum is fine.  If your amp can only handle a 4-ohm load, wire your speakers for 6 ohms.

I guess the universal gain of 20 points in IQ still leaves something to be desired? 6 ohm - Page 2 -- posted image. Series wire it like this, and ignore the ohm ratings on this chart. Substitute 3 ohm driver for 4 ohm, thus 6 ohm for 8 ohm final load.
