I have everything hook up on my new in-dash DVD player except the parking park sensor.  I wasn’t really for sure on how to install it so I took it to Ovation.  They told me they could do it but would cost $35 to connect one wire ( not joking $35), so I politely turned around and left.  So I am stuck with a DVD player that wont open because I don’t know how or what to look for.  I guessing this park sensor works with just needing power, so I’m thinking about just connecting it to the main red 12volt power cord to give it constant power.  Hopefully this will “TRICK” the sensor into thinking I am in park.  Will this work or blow my system up.  If it helps I have a Kenwood kvt-910dvd.  Any help would be great.

He means a ground wire, most people just ground the wire out and it will work.  You should call up and install center and ask with your particular model just to be sure.

Jeff Sit said I should just ground this connection.  Everyone knows he is the man.  So if anyone else has this problem here you go.

I told ya, we call it ground. But that is still funny that people don't realize what you were talking about. Oh well they will figure it out.
