Ive got an amp that has some issues.  the sticker says its made by CRAIG, model number R502.  its a 2 channel, 25W per channel. its got pre-amp ins and line level ins. I had it up and running ok for a short while, then it sorta wimped out and started smoking. I cant seem to find any information about the amp, has anybody  heard of or used one of these or knows anything about the company or the amp?

I haven't heard that name for ages.  It was a popular product back in the 70's, and I think I even had a Craig 8-track player.  Are you intent on fixing it to use, or are you restoring it for other reasons?
Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.

ya, Im intending to use it to power a DUAL 10'' 375W sub, little added low end.  I opened up the amp and discovered that the smoking issue is a diode. I plan on replacing it and seeing if it toasts the next one. hoping that it works. though, I am interested in finding info on the amp, and company if any info is to be found anymore.
