Ohm question

ok i was online today just messing around and i saw some subs that were three ohm and that mean that if you hooked three of them up in parallel then you could get a one ohm load. My question is if you for instance hooked two in parallel and one in series then would the two in parallel get more watts then the one in series or would the three subs just split the power between them?

just a question that came to mind! thanks!

Your first assumption is the correct one, thus never use subs in a configuration that you listed.
