Guys,

I've got a 95 Tbird right now with no alarm.  The alarm is going on in a few weeks.  I just purchased a LED light that blinks when the key is out of the car.  I'm going to put this drivers side right next to the door lock.

See the item here http:///.com/dll?ViewItem&item=1345187145&r=0&t=0&showTutorial=0&ed=1018586244&indexURL=0&rd=1

What would be the best way to wire this LED warning light?  The seller told me wire it to something that gets power when the key is out.  He said hooking it to the radio fuse in the fusebox would work.

I don't understand why the radio would work, because I just want the LED to light up when the key is out,  I don't want it on all the time.

Could someone enlighten me here,

Justin

in the directions it will most likely tell but heres what i think the led must get trrigerd with a ground the ignition switch in a car sees ground wen the key is out and it swityches to positive wen in and turned on so that is why the led will come on wen the key is out but not on when the engine is runing check the manual and it should tell u good luck

There are 3 wires you need to hook up to this Varad LED:

  • RED - 12 volts constant
  • BLACK - Ground
  • YELLOW  - Ignition - Ground when engine is off Target wire has 12 volts when activated and ground when off ( which means almost any of the ignition wires ) The radio will work because it has 12 volts when activated but grounds when off.
