Well, first off I have a 2001 Eclipse. I purchased a CrimeStopper CoolStart RS900IV last month and currently have it installed. http://www.crimestopper.com/techweb/InstructionBooks/RemoteStart/rs-900-IVinstall.PDF

I didnt know that it was just a keyless entry/remote start. No alarm. So I purchased this off ebay.http://www.crimestopper.com/techweb/InstructionBooks/Alarm/CS2000man-revD.pdf

Im pretty sure you can interface the 2 so that you can use just 1 remote and have control for arming (lock), disarming (unlock), remote start, and whatever else. Only problem is I dont know what wires to connect to what. Any help will be greatly appreiciated. Thanks ahead of time

You'll need to hook the alarm as instructions say and then use your aux output from the alarm to trigger the remote start activation input on the remote starter (may require a relay) and then connect the negative door lock/unlock outputs to the point where you had your rs-900 connected. If you want both units connected to the locks then diode isolate both units outputs.

Ahhh... But what if I wanted to use the remote from the remote starter instead of the remote from the alarm? I probably could just re-program them, but what if I cant? Im kinda new to car security, but you wouldnt happen to have a picture of what diode isolating is would you? I know theres a diagram on this website, but Id rather see an actual picture to help me understand better.

What is the make and model of the vehicle you installed into? What features are being used on the remote starter unit? Door locks and trunk?

I can't think of any way to use the remote starter brain to properly control the alarm system. Using the alarm to control the starter will work fine and is fully compatible and has all the correct outputs you would need. Is it just the RS-900 remotes that you like the looks of better? Maybe they could be programmed to the Alarm brain. But the actual (master) has to be the alarm brain and the remote starter (the slave) for everything to function properly. Unless you wanted to tear remotes apart and use a bunch of relays which would be more of a hassle than anything.

lol Thanks for clearing everything up for me bro. Anyways, I bought my girl the CS-RS900VI, and she also has the CS2002DC I believe. Right now, she has 2 transmitters dangling from her keychain. Im gonna try to program both of them into 1 tomorrow and I'll let you know how it goes. Again, thanks
