I'm getting back into car audio after a few year hiatus.

When I had a system. I had a boss AVA1000 (250 x 4) amp hooked up to two Pyramid 700's but those speakers blew and I am tired of this amp.

I was thinking about getting one of those new ORION 2500D 2500 watt amps and was wondering what kind of subwoofers should I get to compliment that amp. Any help is appreciated. Thanks. Would prefer Orion Subs but am open to suggestions.

there are lots of companies out there that make amazing subs to compliment an amp with that kinda power. Such as the JL W7, the Diamond Audio TDX, orion's as you mentioned, Adire Audio Brahma, Apline Type X, jeez, the list goes on and on. what kinda music are you into? What kinda bass are you looking for? window shattering bass or music complimenting bass (spl/sq) ??

I personally would not invest money in that amp, while I was an avid fan and user of the older Orion amps, I can't say that I would use any of their new stuff.  Perhaps look into some of the other amp company's around, Xtant, Diamond, MTX, Rockford, arc, zapco, etc... I think that you just may be happier in the end

i would have to agree with One_Evil_Necro in my opinion most of the new amps are junk... they just cant hang with the old school stuff...if you would like some old school amps theres always ebay ive found some of the old amps...some still new in box...but subs thats a different story...seems like amps went down hill and subs went up...i have 3 w7 13.5 and i love them...the orions dont look bad either but havent heard any...then again i didnt hear any of the w7s before i bought mine but i did hear the w6...nice...   but they are very pricey....just remember one thing and i have found itsd true...you get what you pay for
